To meet the total needs of the total person spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
The vision of The Total Mankind Ministry is to extend our services throughout the New Haven community. in an effort to put together the broken pieces of shattered lives through faith, consistency, and individualized goals to allow everyone we encounter to have a successful future.
The Total Mankind Ministry of Grace Chapel Church of the Living God was birthed out of a desire to assist those who are without a home, food and other basic necessities. It is based on the Biblical passage of III John 2 which states, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth," as well as St. Matthew 25:35-46.
Bishop Samuel White, Senior Pastor of Grace Chapel Church of the Living God in New Haven, CT, and his wife Mrs. Rosetta White, envisioned a program in which the total needs of the total person could be met with a focus on spirituality and physical sustainability. Throughout the years, the church has supported the community by providing food, clothing and counseling to people in need. However, in doing so, we came to understand that the greater need is to provide safe, warm, temporary housing which will include programs to meet specific needs. As a result, the Total Mankind Ministry was formed to reduce homelessness as well as increase resources and services offered in the New Haven Community.
